The staff was very hospitable making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The room was nice and clean. The kiddos and myself had fun catching fish off of the dock. We had an all around great time staying at Sunset Bay! We will definitely be back!
Great place to stay, it's our second home. Been going almost 4 years. Great salt water pool. Grounds well groomed. Two stocked ponds for campers and the kids. Large play ground and basketball courts. Friendly people, owners and employees always ready to help. We also use the dock and slips. Easy in and out. Close to actives on KY lake. I just can't say enough about this campground. YOU have to give a try, you will not be disappointed.
I don’t understand how someone could give this place a bad review to be on the water! The cottage set ups are awesome for a group or family to room next to each other and have a great time with lots of shade and grass to set outdoor games up! Someone has to understand that maintaining a marina and campground with cabins etc isn’t cheap. Sure it’s a little dated, but it’s camping! Not a condo in Vegas! Frank and his staff were nothing but great to us! My family will be back!
We have been camping here for over 3 years and never had any issues. This is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly and help out whenever needed. They have many things to do for kids and adults. Amazing salt water pool. Tons of fun for the whole family. There is no way I would go anywhere else. Mansard island is highly recommended in my book.
I love coming here to stay with my friends. It's clean, roomy....you don't feel crowded by other campers. The owners are very nice and help out in any way that you can. Really nice pool if you don't care for the lake water. Great place to come and relax with friends and family!
New owner is great. Complete change in quality and experience. We have friends who are neighbors to the resort. The previous owner caused many problems for them, and the other neighbors, ranging from puposefully dumping dangerous debri along their property line, refusing to rent to anyone who new them, canceling already confirmed reservations if he found out about that relationship, verbally confronting them on many occasions, and much more. All of the 1 star ratings here refer to the previous owner and how other renters were treated similarly. The new owner and staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. They have rebuilt relationships with the neighborhood and have worked to fix the negative impacts of the previous owner's business model. They have made multiple improvements to the property, and they go out of their way to make nice gestures when they in no way were obligated too (exemplified by when my son and niece were playing on the resort playground, someone from the staff came up and gave them dump truck toys to take home).
